Field of Membership

The following information is the detailed membership criteria according to our official charter.

Membership in CapCom Credit Union shall consist of:
  1. Individuals who reside, are employed, attend school or who worship in Allegan, Barry, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon or Ottawa County, Michigan.

  2. Results of the merger of Allied Employers Credit Union, Wyoming, Michigan, effective April 1, 2006.
    1. Members of record as of the date of merger.

  3. Results of the merger of Spartan Stores Credit Union, Wyoming, Michigan, effective April 1, 2006.
    1. Members of record as of the date of merger.

  4. Results of the merger of Associated Builders & Contractors Michigan Federal Credit Union, Wyoming, Michigan, effective April 1, 2006.

  5. Results of the merger of Citizens Choice Federal Credit Union, Greenville, Michigan, effective January 1, 2006.
    1. Members of record as of the date of merger.

  6. Results of the merger of LSI Credit Union, Grand Rapids, Michigan, effective April 1, 2004.

  7. Results of the merger of the Schmidt’s Employees Credit Union, Okemos, Michigan, effective January 20, 1990.

  8. Results of the merger of the State Journal Employees Credit Union, Lansing, Michigan, effective August 1986.

  11. Any person who receives a retirement annuity, pension, social security or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in, or belongs to, a retirement organization located in the county or in a county contiguous to the county where the credit union’s principal place of business is located.

  12. Employees of this credit union.

  13. Members and immediate families of the foregoing.

  14. Any legal entity that is comprised for the most part of the same general group as the membership of the credit union as outlined above.

  15. A spouse of a deceased member if accepted into membership prior to remarriage.
